Italian Bolognese


500g minced meat

1 medium onion chopped

2 celery stalks chopped

1 big carrot chopped

100ml red wine

500g peeled tomatoes (you can use canned)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon nutmeg

Vegetable oil to fry


  • In a pan on medium heat fry onion until it becomes translucent
  • Add chopped carrot and celery stalks and fry another 5 minutes
  • Add minced meat and fry until raw color is gone
  • Season it with salt, black pepper and nutmeg
  • Pure in red wine and cook till wine is evaporated
  • Smash tomatoes with hand blender and add to meat
  • Simmer everything all together for 2 hours

Cook your favorite pasta and serve with freshly grated parmigiano cheese
