Armenian GATA with Walnuts

Hello my name is Arus. I am from Yerevan, Armenia, but I have been an expat wife last 10 years. Though I miss very much my home, I enjoy being an expat wife.

Meat Pie

Ingredients:

1 squre sheet puff pastry

300g minced meat (it can be both cooked and uncooked)

1 big onion

Oil to fry

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Chop onion and fry in a pan until tender and transparent
  • Add minced meat, add cook it until ready
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Put the pastry on a baking sheet, place the filling in the middle of the pastry
  • Cut the edges of the pastry and fold the pie, as it is shown here
  • Apply egg wash over the folded pie
  • Bake at 180C about 25 minutes, until the top of the pie is rouge and looks crunchy.

Կարկանդակ Կտրատած Մսով

Բաղադրիչներ:
- 1 կտոր ուղղանկյուն կարկանդակ (puff pastry)
- 300 գ կտրատած միս (կոկ կամ հս)
- 1 մեծ սոխ
- Յուղ
- Ծովային աղ, պղպեղ

Պատրաստման եղանակ:
Սոխ կտրատել, տապակել մինչև թափանցիկ: Ավելացնել կտրատած միս, եփել: Ավելացնել աղ, պղպեղ: Կառկանդակի մեջ լցնել: Ծալել կամ ծածկել կեսով: Եզրերը ամրացնել: Թխել 200°C, 25 րոպե:
